Nem is administrative software for healthcare practices. Nem is not a healthcare provider and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the licensed practitioners using the Service.
What Nem does
Nem provides operational software for healthcare practices: an AI-powered voice receptionist, scheduling, patient records management, billing and invoicing, reporting, and related administrative tools.
What Nem does not do
- Nem does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any medical condition.
- Nem's AI Voice Agent does not provide medical advice. It books appointments, takes messages, and transfers to licensed staff when clinical judgment is required.
- Nem's reports and summaries are administrative aids, not clinical evidence.
Clinical responsibility
Licensed practitioners using the Service are solely responsible for all clinical decisions, patient care, prescribing, diagnosis, and treatment. Patient information stored in Nem is for record-keeping; it is not a substitute for a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) where one is required by law or accreditation.
Emergencies
Nem's AI Voice Agent is configured to advise callers describing a medical emergency to hang up and call emergency services (such as 911 in the United States). The configuration of emergency handling is set by the clinic and may be customized. Nem is not an emergency service.
Regulatory status
Nem is not a medical device. It is not registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) or any equivalent body. It is not ONC-certified EHR software. Customers using Nem in jurisdictions with specific healthcare-software registration or certification requirements are responsible for verifying that such requirements are met before processing patient data.
